I had a lot of trouble with air getting sucked into the system. When this happens, the spray pressure drops so that the check valves at the spray tips are cut off, so no flow. I finally discovered that the source of the air leak was the inlet to the pump. This is a removable hose barb that is sealed with one o-ring and it leaks easily. I greased the o-ring with Vaseline and now it is sealed. However, it will only work temporarily, and will need another treatment with Vaseline. Better to use 2 o-rings or use one that fits better. I also had trouble with the nuts that hold the nozzle bodies to the boom. The thread on the nozzle body is too large, causing the nut to cross-thread when installing the nozzle body.
