The Y-Tex XP 820 Insecticide Cattle Ear Tag is a slow-release tag and the first ever to contain abamectin (avermectins B1a and B1b), a macrocyclic lactone synergized with piperonyl butoxide. It controls horn flies — including pyrethroid- and organophosphate-resistant strains — and Gulf Coast ticks, and aids in control of spinose ear ticks, American dog ticks, cattle fever ticks, and lone star ticks while reducing face flies. As a distinct chemical class, it's ideal for rotation with other insecticide tags for resistance management. Uses the Y-Tex two-piece tag system; 20 tags with buttons.
