THEISEN'S OF DAVENPORT

We strive to meet the needs of our customers by carrying trusted brands of merchandise at great prices with exceptional service.  The well-being of the greater Davenport community is important to us as. We support many organizations through our charitable giving and the Theisen’s More for Your Community grant program.

Davenport is the twenty-third store in the Theisen’s chain and was opened in 2016.

Davenport is located on the Mississippi River, and it is one of the Quad Cities, a group of four cities that also includes Bettendorf, Iowa, and Rock Island and Moline in Illinois. The Quad Cities form a metropolitan area with a population of over 383,000 people.

The city has a rich history, having been founded in 1836 by Antoine LeClaire and named after Colonel George Davenport, a former Army officer who played a key role in the development of the region. Davenport grew rapidly during the mid-19th century, as it became a hub for river trade and the manufacture of agricultural implements.

Today, Davenport is known for its vibrant downtown area, which features a variety of restaurants and cultural attractions, including the Figge Art Museum, the Putnam Museum, and the River Music Experience. The city also hosts several annual events, such as the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz Festival, the Mississippi Valley Fair, and the Quad City Air Show.
