THEISEN'S OF MAQUOKETA

We strive to meet the needs of our customers by carrying trusted brands of merchandise at great prices with exceptional service.  The well-being of the greater Maquoketa community is important to us. We support many organizations through our charitable giving and the Theisen's More for Your Community grant program.

Built in 1957, the Maquoketa store location was the second Theisen’s store.  In 2007, we celebrated our 50th year supporting the Maquoketa comminty with a new, relocated 50,000 square foot building store.

The city of Maquoketa is situated along the Maquoketa River and is known for its natural beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. One of the most popular attractions in the area is the Maquoketa Caves State Park, which features several caves and hiking trails. The park is a popular destination for camping, picnicking, and nature-watching.

In addition to the state park, Maquoketa is also home to several other parks and recreational facilities, including Horseshoe Pond County Park and the Maquoketa Athletic Complex. The city also hosts several annual events, such as the Jackson County Fair and the Iowa State Mud Run.

The downtown area of Maquoketa features several shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions, including the Ohnward Fine Arts Center, which hosts a variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the year. The Clinton Engines Museum, located just outside of Maquoketa, showcases the history of the Clinton Engines Corporation, which was based in the city from 1946 to 1969.
